Class-digging deeper into chapters 9 and 10 in "Lightning Thief." We discussed inferences and allusions and will be working these literary elements as we read from our novels and other text regarding myths.
Homework-re read and flag references to Cronus in chapter 9-10 of your novel
Class-students took a pop quiz on chapters 9-10. We then discussed allusion in chapters 9 and 10. Started to dig deeper in the myth "Cronus" and discussed how these connections are made and how the text we have been reading (regardless if fiction or non fiction) allows us to get a deeper understanding of the text. It is also like a scaffold, we are building upon one another and gaining a better understanding to build upon our prior knowledge.
