Journal 15-Describe writer's block as if it were a monster. Then share a trick or 2 for taming this creativity crushing creature.
Class-Discussed the analytical process of writing a mini essay based on the connection between theme from a myth and the key elements of mythology. The students had a copy of a mini essay that they had to analyze regarding the format/information presented in the essay. Students will be writing their own essay next week, so we are preparing for this.
Homework-Read ch. 16 in PJLT...use evidence flags to mark the 3 allusions that are in the text. Compile a list of challenging vocabulary words from the reading.
Class-we are invited to a "Book Tasting" in the Media Center. Classes will be held there and Mrs.Jones will be leading the lesson. This is to encourage more reading!!
Homework-Go to students Google Classroom for ELA for assignment.

I am out Thursday for training and Friday for personal reasons. For homework, they are to read Chapter 17 in The Lightning Thief and prepare journal to turn in on 9/5
