In Class Today: Students will learn about the Black Death and the impact that this disease had on Europe in the Middle Ages. They will take notes on this and other changes that occurred in Europe during this time period. Warm Up: Picture analysis. Tuesday, February 21: Flip book is due tomorrow. There will be a quiz on the Middle Ages tomorrow. Study your flip book. In Class Today: Students will review for the quiz. They will begin learning about the European Renaissance. In Class Today: Students will learn about the concept of a "Renaissance Man or Woman." They will explore the lives of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. They will write a collaborative essay on who they think is the ultimate Renaissance man. Warm Up: Why did the Renaissance begin in Italy? Friday, February 24: No homework. In Class Today: Students will share their essays. They will learn about daily life in the Renaissance. Warm Up: None.

Tuesday, February 14: Mask project is due on Friday. In Class Today: Students will learn about the social hierarchy used in the Middle Ages by studying feudalism. Warm Up: Feudalism graphic organizers (completed as a group). Wednesday, February 15: Mask project is due on Friday. In Class Today: Students will learn about the economy in the Middle Ages by studying the manor system. They will read "If You Lived in the Middle Ages." Warm Up: Picture analysis activity.
