Tuesday, January 2: Finish reading and annotating "Who Rules?" In Class Today: Students will explore the meaning of the word government and learn about the origins and types of government systems. Warm Up: Write what you think the term government means in your own words. Wednesday, January 3: Finish the True/False and Crossword worksheet. In Class Today: Students will complete an informal assessment on "Who Rules?" and will complete the Identify that Government activity. Warm Up: Students will complete a mind map on the types of government. Thursday, January 4: Government poster is due on January 9. In Class Today: Students will complete the forms of government graphic organizer. They will begin work on the government poster. Warm Up: US government review. Friday, January 5: Finish the citizenship follow-up questions. In Class Today: Students will explore what it means to be a citizen. They will work in groups to analyze the rights and responsibilities of citizens under various government systems. Warm Up: None. |
