Monday, August 14: Finish the China Geography Worksheet.
In Class Today: Students will review China's geography. They will apply literacy and map skills on the China Geography Worksheet.
Warm Up: China Cause and Effect activity (in groups).
Tuesday, August 15: No homework.
In Class Today: Students will analyze maps of ancient South Asia. They will learn about the unique geographic characteristics of this region. They will create a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the geography of India and China.
Warm Up: Label the map of India.
Wednesday, August 16: Complete the India/Egypt sheet.
In Class Today: Students will learn about the effects of monsoons on India. They will begin working on the South Asia Envelope project.
Warm Up: Students will read an article about monsoons.
Thursday, August 17: No homework.
In Class Today: Students will continue to work on the South Asia envelope.

In Class Today: Students will learn about how mountains and islands impacted the lives of the ancient Greeks. They will label a map of Greece. Then, they will continue to work on the South Asia envelope.
