In Class Today: Students will complete a SAS activity on the Crusades. They will also work on a Crusades activity in Google Classroom. Warm Up: Write a six word sentence explaining the role religion played in the Middle Ages. Tuesday, May 1: Finish the feudal system diagram in your flip book. In Class Today: Students will analyze pictures related to feudalism. They will learn about the role feudalism played in the Middle Ages. They will also read about the life of a peasant compared to the life of a member of the nobility. Warm Up: Joan of Arc group collaboration. Wednesday, May 2: Finish the manor system activity in Google Classroom. In Class Today: Students will be introduced to the role the manor system played in life in the Middle Ages. They will complete the Manor System activity in Google Classroom. Warm Up: Students will read "Contract Between a Vassal and a Lord." This text is in Google Classroom. They will answer the following questions: What does the vassal get from the lord? What does the lord get from the vassal? Thursday, May 3: Finish your coat of arms. It must be in color. In Class Today: Students will learn about knights, the code of chivalry and the coat of arms. They will complete the Two Voice Poem activity in Google Classroom comparing the samurai to the knight. They will then create their own coat of arms. Warm Up: Gallery walk (manor pictures). Friday, May 4: No homework. In Class Today: Students will learn about the Magna Carta and compare it to the Bill of Rights. They will complete a worksheet on this topic. Warm Up: Gallery walk (coat of arms).
