In Class Today: The Indus Valley group will present their Ancient Civilization project. Students will learn about ancient South Asia's unique geography by completing a map analysis in Google Classroom. They will then begin working on creating an envelope project on the geography of South Asia. Warm Up: Label the map of India. Tuesday, August 21: No homework. In Class Today: Students will discuss the benefits and disadvantages of monsoons in South Asia. They will continue to work on the Geography Envelope. Warm Up: Article and chart on monsoons in Google Classroom. Wednesday, August 22: Finish labeling the map of Greece. In Class Today: Students will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Greece's geography. The Greece group will present their Ancient Civilization project. Students will complete an activity in Google Classroom in which they determine the impact of Greece's physical features on the ancient Greeks. They will label a map of Greece. Warm Up: Greece map analysis. Thursday, August 23: Geography envelope is due on Tuesday. In Class Today: Students will learn about the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 AD. They will work on the Geography Envelope. Warm Up: Picture analysis activity. Friday, August 24: Geography envelope is due on Tuesday. In Class Today: The Rome group will present their Ancient Civilization project. Students will analyze maps of Rome and label their own map of ancient Rome.
