Monday, August 6: Finish labeling and coloring your map of Mesopotamia.
In Class Today: Students will review how geography impacted the lives of the people in ancient Mesopotamia. They will learn about the accomplishments of the Sumerians. Warm Up: What impact do you think the Neolithic Revolution had on the people of Mesopotamia? Tuesday, August 7: No homework. In Class Today: Students will be starting the Ancient Civilizations Geography project. They will research how the five themes of geography impacted one ancient civilization (Egypt, Greece, Rome, Indus Valley, Aztec, Inca, Maya, or China). They will be creating a power point presentation for the class. Warm Up: Students will read a passage and answer a question about the connection between religion and geography in Mesopotamia. Wednesday, August 8: No homework. In Class Today: Students will continue working on the Ancient Civilizations Geography Project. They will continue the research portion of the project. Warm Up: Set a personal goal for what you would like to accomplish today. Thursday, August 9: Your portion of the research for the project must be complete by tomorrow. In Class Today: Students will finish their research and begin creating the slide presentation. Warm Up: BC/AD reading passage. Friday, August 10: No homework.
