Monday, August 8: Study the Ancient Americans Study Guide for tomorrow's quiz.
In Class Today: Students will go over the study guide and continue working on their posters.

Tuesday, August 9: Poster is due tomorrow (Students chose either the Aztec, Inca OR Maya civilization and have created a poster with 5 achievements, including both a picture and a caption for each. The poster should also have a title).
In Class Today: Students will take the quiz and then work on their posters.
Warm Up: None.
Wednesday, August 10: No homework.
In Class Today: Students will learn about the geography of Mesopotamia and study how religion, geography and social hierarchy are all connected in this civilization.
Warm Up: Civilization analysis.
Thursday, August 11: Finish vocabulary activity (for every word we checked in the Mesopotamia list, students should do ONE of the following: write a sentence, draw a picture, write a synonym).
In Class Today: Students will go over the vocabulary for the unit. They will learn more about the vocabulary by watching "From Nomads to Farmers."
Warm Up: Analyze the lines from the Sumerian hymn.
Friday, August 12: No homework.
In Class Today: Students will make a list of Sumerian accomplishments.
Warm Up: Read "A Father's Complaint" and write a reflection.
