Monday, February 12: Complete vocabulary webs for the following terms: economics, natural resources, human resources, capital resources, scarcity. These will be due on Friday and more words will be added later in the week.
In Class Today: Students will review the different types of resources. They will complete the Hat Factory activity to learn about the four types of economies. Warm Up: Resources Review Tuesday, February 13: Finish the 3 Square Reflection In Class Today: Students will review the Hat Factory Activity. They will complete a reading on the four types of economies and fill out a 3 Square Reflection on what they have read. Warm Up: None. Wednesday, February 14: Complete vocabulary webs for the following terms: traditional economy, command economy, market economy, mixed economy. All webs are due on Friday. In Class Today: Students will learn about the impact of each type of economy on citizens. Warm Up: Term Search activity. Thursday, February 15: All vocabulary webs that have been assigned this week are due tomorrow. In Class Today: Students will complete an economic continuum activity where they will read about a country's economy and decide where it should be placed on a continuum with the four types of economies. Warm Up: How does a civilization's economic choices impact a citizen's quality of life? Friday, February 16: No homework. In Class Today: Students will learn about barter and the importance of trade.
