Monday, February 20: Middle Ages flip book is due on Wednesday. Make sure all notes, vocabulary and illustrations (in color) are complete. There will be a quiz on the flip book information on Wednesday.
In Class Today: Students will learn about the Black Death and the impact that this disease had on Europe in the Middle Ages. They will take notes on this and other changes that occurred in Europe during this time period. Warm Up: Picture analysis. Tuesday, February 21: Flip book is due tomorrow. There will be a quiz on the Middle Ages tomorrow. Study your flip book. In Class Today: Students will review for the quiz. They will begin learning about the European Renaissance. They will have time to work on the flip book, if necessary. Warm Up: Update the vocabulary page of your flip book. Wednesday, February 22: No homework. In Class Today: Students will take the Middle Ages quiz. They will learn about art and literature during the Renaissance. Warm Up: Flip book turn in. Thursday, February 23: Finish your essay. In Class Today: Students will learn about the concept of a "Renaissance Man or Woman." They will explore the lives of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. They will write a collaborative essay on who they think is the ultimate Renaissance man. Warm Up: Why did the Renaissance begin in Italy? Friday, February 24: No homework.
