Finish your "Me Map." Remember to include at least five physical features that tell me something about you (i.e. "Wolfpack Woods" or "Hockey Harbor"). Be sure to color your map and give it a title. In Class Today: Students will learn about classroom procedures. They will review the meaning of the term "physical feature." They will use this knowledge to create a map of an imaginary country which tells us something about them. Tuesday 7/12: Finish the World Map worksheet. In Class Today: Students will review classroom procedures. They will review the different types of maps and the important parts of maps. Warm Up: Share the Me Maps. Wednesday 7/13: No homework. In Class Today: Students will go over warm up procedures. They will learn the difference between absolute and relative location. Warm Up: What is above North Carolina? Thursday, 7/14: Study the definitions of absolute and relative location on the vocabulary sheet in your composition book for a quiz tomorrow. In Class Today: Students will review absolute and relative location. They will play latitude and longitude bingo. Warm Up: What is the difference between absolute and relative location? Friday, 7/15: No homework. In Class Today: Students will take the quiz on absolute and relative location. They will learn about the concept of scarcity of resources. Warm Up: Scarcity simulation.
