In Class Today: Students worked on their quarter 3 Create a Civilization project. If you were not here today, please check with your group and make sure that the work is complete. If not, make plans to come for Smart Block either Tuesday or Wednesday to finish. Warm Up: None. Monday, March 26: No homework. In Class Today: Students learned the meaning of the following terms: social hierarchy, interdependence and equity. They annotated a text about one of the roles in ancient Mesopotamian society. They then created an interdependence chart in which they collaborated with their table groups to analyze the connections among the various levels of Mesopotamian society. Warm Up: Read "A Father's Complaint" and write a reflection. Tuesday, March 27: Finish the Egypt worksheet. In Class Today: Students will use video and text to determine who played the most important role in Egyptian society. Warm Up: How do we determine the value of jobs in the U.S.? Wednesday, March 28: No homework. In Class Today: Students will learn about the social classes in Ancient Rome. They will explore daily life in Rome by reading "If You Lived in Ancient Rome." Warm Up: Review Egypt's social classes. Thursday, March 29: No homework. In Class Today: Students will learn about Japan's feudal system. Warm Up: Medieval feudal system review (in groups).
