Tuesday, January 17: Government poster and paragraph assignment is due on Friday. In Class Today: Students will review the types of government we have studied this year and learn about additional forms of government. They will be given a sheet of paper to use to create a mini poster on one of the types of government. They will have some class time to begin the assignment. See the rubric attached to this post. Warm Up: Name a type of government we have studied this year and tell which group of people used this type of government. Wednesday, January 18: Government poster and paragraph is due on Friday. In Class Today: Students will learn about the geography of Africa. They will begin creating a geographic features map. Warm Up: Africa map analysis. Thursday, January 19: Government poster/paragraph is due tomorrow. In Class Today: Students will discuss the effects of human/environmental interaction in Africa. They will continue working on their geographic features maps. Warm Up: What might be the causes of desertification in the Sahara Desert? What would be the effects on the people that live there? How could it be prevented? Friday, January 20: Africa map is due on Tuesday. In Class Today: Students will learn about the ancient civilization of Great Zimbabwe. They will also analyze the effects of the Bantu migrations. Students will spend the remainder of class working on their Africa maps. Warm Up: Picture analysis Saturday, January 21: Africa map is due on Tuesday. In Class Today: Students will be able to work on their Africa maps. Warm Up: None. Comments are closed.
