Monday, November 13: Finish your infrastructure chart.
In Class Today: Students will learn the definition of infrastructure. They will analyze why ancient civilizations would have needed infrastructure. They will make modern day connections by examining scenarios and choosing an appropriate form of infrastructure for each. They will use links in Google Classroom to complete a chart in their composition books. Warm Up: Students will brainstorm modern day examples of infrastructure. Tuesday, November 14: Work on the study guide for the Achievements Unit test. Study guide is due on Thursday. The test will be on Friday. In Class Today: Students will complete a SAS Curriculum Pathways activity on the Great Wall of China. Warm Up: Lotus diagram activity Wednesday, November 15: Finish your study guide. It is due tomorrow. In Class Today: Students will create a poster on the science and technology achievements for one of the ancient civilizations. Students will use the posters to record science and technology achievements in their composition books. Warm Up: What is one type of infrastructure that modern day society could not live without? Explain your answer. Thursday, November 16: Study for tomorrow's test. In Class Today: Students will review the study guide and participate in review activities for the Achievements test.
